Building ArtixCode: From Coding Assistant to Bangla-English Coding Model

ArtixCode is not jumping straight to a foundation model announcement. Here is the phased path we are taking—and why it matters.

Phase 1: AI coding assistant

Every strong model ecosystem starts with a useful product surface. Phase 1 focuses on the ArtixCode assistant: code generation, debugging, explanation, refactoring, tests, and security review in English and Bangla.

This phase validates workflows before we claim model superiority. We learn which prompts fail, which frameworks need specialized handling, and where bilingual explanations help developers understand—not just copy—solutions.

Phase 2: Bangla-English coding dataset

Models are only as good as the data and evaluation culture behind them. Phase 2 invests in curated Bangla-English coding examples: error explanations, refactor pairs, documentation samples, and teaching-oriented responses.

We are careful about consent and privacy. Dataset work emphasizes licensed, synthetic, and opt-in sources—not scraping private repositories without permission.

Phase 3: ArtixCode Coder Beta

The ArtixCode Coder model is planned as a specialized coding model tuned for our user workflows. It is in development, not finished training. We will publish benchmarks only after internal and community testing—not before.

Coder Beta will prioritize reliable debugging, framework-aware suggestions, and bilingual clarity over vanity leaderboard scores.

Phases 4 and 5: IDE and team models

A VS Code extension brings ArtixCode closer to where code is written. Team and private deployment options follow for companies that need isolation, auditability, and custom model policies.

We are building the ecosystem in order so each layer compounds the next. Assistant usage informs dataset priorities. Dataset quality informs model training. Model quality informs IDE experiences.
